[Click] Click-fastclassifier

Hi all,

Currently, I'm experimenting with the Click-fastclassifier to eliminate checking the same header-fields multiple times when classifying a packet stream. Is there any documentation concerning the algorithm used in the Click-fastclassifier, instead of diving in the source-code? Is the algorithm based on well-known optimisation algorithms documented in any papers or do there exist other, similar (non-Click) implementations of the fastclassification?
