Thank you for pointing out those problems with the 1.1 release.

The only gigabit ethernet card we've tried is the Alteon AceNIC.  We
have not tested it very much. I don't think we will be using it in the
future because its firmware limits it to 200,000 packets per second,
so it's not much of an improvement over the Tulip.  We plan to
experiment with SysKonnect and perhaps Intel gigabit ethernet cards.
