[chord] PROBLEM:building SFS

Sir,
I am facing problem while installing chord. Actually I was unable to 
build SFS through CVS.
I ran below commands:

% cvs -d :pserver:sfscvs at cvs.fs.net:/cvs login
% cvs -z5 -d :pserver:sfscvs at cvs.fs.net:/cvs co -P sfs1

% cd sfs1
% sh ./setup
% ./configure

While running ./configure,it gives me below error:

Checking for resolver functions in standard C library... ../sfs1/configure: line 11881: syntax error near unexpected token `AC_LINK_IFELSE('
../sfs1/configure: line 11881: `AC_LINK_IFELSE('

Please, enlighten me what could be the problem, also tell me how to properly install chord.
