[Click] Does click scripts only applied in local area network set by NS2?

Hi, all.
         I am doing research using click combined with ns2. I constructed a
Lan by ns2 and each node embeded with click scripts, it works well. But I
want to construct a point-to-point network by ns2 and each node is embeded
 with a routing module implement by click scripts, It can't work. What
should I do with this problem?
