[Click] Live boot click linux Hi all, I just finished building the base image of a live boot click cd for a project I'm working on here and I thought I'd share it with everyone. It includes the kernel mode patch for linux 2.6.19.2 and has the patched e1000 drivers from the cvs repository. Here's the link to the bootable iso (~36M): http://www3.net.ohio-state.edu/~seth/clicklinux.iso The cd was build with the scripts from http://www.linux-live.org so it's easy to customize the configuration of the system and build a new image. To customize the image, mount it locally on loopback and copy the contents onto your hard drive. Place customized files in the ./click/rootcopy directory, making sure file locations (e.g. ./click/rootcopy/etc/shadow) and user permissions are correct. Then, run the make_iso.sh script in the ./click directory to build your new image. I'm going to be using it to create diskless "appliance" machines to shuffle traffic around our network. If anyo! ne has any questions, feel free to ask! Thanks, .Seth

Hi all,

I just finished building the base image of a live boot click cd for a
project I'm working on here and I thought I'd share it with
everyone. It includes the kernel mode patch for linux 2.6.19.2 and
has the patched e1000 drivers from the cvs repository.

Here's the link to the bootable iso (~36M):
   http://www3.net.ohio-state.edu/~seth/clicklinux.iso

The cd was built with the scripts from http://www.linux-live.org so
it's easy to customize the configuration of the system and build a
new image. To customize the image, mount it locally on loopback and
copy the contents onto your hard drive. Place customized files in
the ./click/rootcopy directory, making sure file locations (e.g. ./
click/rootcopy/etc/shadow) and user permissions are correct. Then,
run the make_iso.sh script in the ./click directory to build your new
image.

I'm going to be using it to create diskless "appliance" machines to
shuffle traffic around our network.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask! I'm sure there are
plenty of strange config choices I made when I built the kernel :)

   .Seth
