Hi Alan,

You need to change some fields explicitly.  Here, I'm assuming you have an 
element with 1 push input, and 4 outputs; output[0] is push, output[1..3] pull. 
  Try:

velementit.samp(...., 1, 4, push_to_pull);
samp.outpers[1] := push;
