[Click] Intel e1000 5.2.30 drivers

Hi,
I've been trying to run Click with an Intel PRO/1000 MT DA card with 82541
chipset. Obviously the card is not supported by the Intel 4.x driver, and I
ended up using 5.x, but this one does not support polling. So my question
is, if there an easy way to apply polling extensions from your 4.x driver to
the 5.x driver? Has anyone done it before?
