First off, the right place to ask Click questions is the
click at pdos.lcs.mit.edu mailing list.

Are you planning on using Click in the kernel, or at userlevel only? The
FreeBSD module on Click is still at beta stage. The next release should
have better support.

Nevertheless, about your build problems: That is pretty strange. Can you
verify that string.o exists in BUILDDIR/userlevel ? Could you try maybe
building in the same directory as the source?
