Some questions regarding device drivers

Dear,

We had a look at the Click modular router and are very enthusiastic about
it (both for its fantastic modularity and extensibility AND its
performance). We have some experience with the default Linux routers and
are of course interested in extra performance.

But some questions about this device driver :
- works the patch to the device driver for the polling with all ethernet
cards supported by the tulip driver ? (we have e.g. DLINK DFE-570TX 4port
cards which work with the tulip driver, which announce 'Digital DS21143
Tulip rev 65' when booting linux).

- are there plans to support a Gigabit ethernet card with the polling
extension ?

- are there more measurements known about this performance (instead of
456000 packets of 64 bytes a second), e.g. with 256 bytes packets ?
Because this will have changed a lot since the SOSP paper if I understand.

thanks in advance,
best regards,
Brecht
