[chord] HELP:linking problem for the chord-sock

hi , i am student from University Putra Malaysia = UPM. i face 1 problem 
when i try to run the chord.. i type command as follow :
root at ats-desktop:/home/ats/Desktop/chord-0.1/build/chord/lsd# ./lsd -j 
192.168.1.3:5555 -p 5555 -v 16
and then it come out this error:
lsd: fatal: get_maint_aclnt: Error connecting to /tmp/maint-sock: No such 
file or directory
after that i try to change the path by using this command line:
root at ats-desktop:/home/ats/Desktop/chord-0.1/build/chord/lsd# ./lsd -j 
192.168.1.3:5555 -p 5555 -v 16 -d /tmp/chord-sock
then it come out an error like this :
lsd: fatal: adb_connect: Error connecting to /tmp/chord-sock: No such file 
or directory

as i know normally after run the ./adbd command it should create a socket 
call chord-sock automactically rite? but i fail to find this file

have anyone know about this error ? can give me some advise and some 
solution?
