[chord] Linking CHORD

Hi to all Chord gurus,

My name is Vasil Mizorov and I am a master of science student at RWTH Aachen, 
Germany.
We have recently started a project about the I3 and therefore we want to use 
CHORD into our implementation.

The bulding process of CHORD went without any problems (ok I admit there were 
some, but solvable) and the next question is actually to start using CHORD in our 
application.
since I am not very experienced in programming, can someone please tell me how to 
use the already existing CHORD library.
Reading papers on the web, I found a Herodotus:Web archival system in which they 
say that they linked CHORD as a library.
The question is how they linked this?

Can someone please find time and explain it short to me.
