Hi Professor Forsythe, Here is the contract for my proposed CS184 final project, which I discussed with you earlier today (Monday Nov. 13th ): Phase 1: Write an RIB file which accurately models a detailed apple core, and write shaders to realistically shade it. Use BMRT to render it. Phase 2: Write a graphical interface tool for expressing animations for a RIB file, which takes in a RIB file for a single frame and outputs a RIB file of multiple frames which linearly interpolates the translations and rotations expressed by the user during the use of the tool. Create a small movie animating the apple created in phase 1. Deliverables: 1) Create the apple core model using unshaded polygons 2) Write shaders, and come up with an abstract (possibly unimplemented) user interface model for the animation tool. Marks: 50 for modelling 30 for animation 20 for user interface If there are any problems with this please let me know. Thanks. Jeremy Stribling cs184-cf
