[Click] device not pollable

hi all..
i run click 1.8.0 on linux debian on kernel version 2.6.24-7, applied
patch successfully and ran the test.click supplied in the conf directory.
it work good as instructed.
when i run the udpgen.click from the conf directory with the command

click-install CLICKDIR/udpgen.click

i get errors as

  While configuring 'u/pd :: PollDevice':
  device 'eth1' not pollable, use FromDevice instead
Router could not be initialized!

what should i do?
can u please help me in guiding as i am a beginer to both linux and click..
