very wired behaviour of the git-sources on ubuntu-karmic:

harald at harald-vbox:~/src/click$ ./configure
'--prefix=/home/harald/local/DIR/click' '--enable-userlevel'
'--enable-local' '--enable-wifi' '--disable-linuxmodule'
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
[...]
config.status: executing default-1 commands

   everything fine so far

harald at harald-vbox:~/src/click$ make -j3
cd . && : && autoconf
/bin/bash ./configure  '--prefix=/home/harald/local/DIR/click'
'--enable-userlevel' '--enable-local' '--en
able-wifi' '--disable-linuxmodule'
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
[...]
checking for expat.h... yes
checking for XML_ParserCreateNS in -lexpat... yes
./configure: line 12359: syntax error: unexpected end of file
make: *** [config.status] Error 2

tried with default autoconf (2.64) and 2.59, same results.
re-running ./configure from this point on will fail.

probably it's not autoconf's fault, but maybe I'm missing some
dependency, but I feel unable to find out what it could possibly be.

bottom line: after running autoconf, configure won't run anymore....

apt-get remove autoconf ->
   click will build just fine.
