[Click] Storing annotation in the packet's payload

Hi,

before starting implementing my own element, is there a way in click
to store the packet's annotation into the payload?

In my case I'm receiving some udp traffic from a raw wifi interface
and i would like to store the packet's annotation into the paylod
so i can process them later. In my case for example i would like to
know the tx rate used and the number of retransmission.
