[Click] working with the handlers

Hi,
I have a dummy element which has a handler.It doesnt have any output ports.
The handler just returns a string.
Basically I just wanted to check functionality of the handler.

So can I create a empty click file say test_handle.click.
and then start click with
click -p 1000 test_handle.click?



I did try this then I telnetted into click but I got a error on the screen
that my element cannot be found.
