[Click] compiling click if some files in one element directory is changed

Hi,
   I am working on the click router and most of my changes are in the 
/click/elements/wifi. I am using userlevel and not kernel level. I am 
not adding any new element. Just extending/adding functionality to the 
code already existing.
 
1) Do I have to "make clean" every time I make some changes i.e 
recompile all the click directory.

2) Is there a easier way to just compile the file I make changes to and 
then link it before running the software router.
