Hi all,

I'm going to remove the deprecated Element::notify_ninputs() and 
Element::notify_noutputs() functions for the upcoming 1.6.0 release, and 
possibly some other functions.  The notify_...() functions have been 
deprecated since 2005.  Holler if you need them.
