Please read the INSTALL file under your click-1.4.3 directory:

"2. Get a vanilla Linux kernel source distribution from www.kernel.org
or
    one of its mirrors.  (Patched kernels, such as Red Hat kernels,
usually
    do not work.)  Unpack this distribution into /usr/src/linux.  (Save
the
    old kernel source tree, if you had one.)"

I'm using the UserLevel of "Click Modular Router" wich is not very
annoying 
for the moment. As I will pass in production work, I will need the 
"LinuxModule", but at the compilation, I received this message :

I'm trying to install "Click Modular Router" on a Fedora Core 1 (2.4.22)
but 
none of the patches coming with the distribution (click-1.4.3) are
applicable 
on this kernel version:
