[Click] Compiling symlinked packages?

Hello,

If I use symlinks to packages in /elements I can't get the elements to 
compile, due to missing rules to make their .o files. Why is that? Is that 
solvable? 
I want to use elements in the /elements directory with symlinks as it would 
certainly make my directory structure more clean...
