[Click] Host AP and Roofnet

Hi Guys

Well this is from the basic which i am going to ask. I know the Host AP 
provides the driver for the prism 2/2.5 or greater wireless cards. I have a 
laptop on which i want to implement roofnet up and working.

I have a Dell Dual Band wirless card and it is working using the 
linuxtant.com driverloader with windows drivers(It is working fine).

So where lies the role now of Host AP driver and how am i going to use it to 
make the roofnet working.
Because if i untar the file of hostAP it collides with my "driverloader " 
program and modifies it and then the wireless card stops working.

Now please tell me whether i just have to untar the hostAP file and my 
wireless card will work and if not. How does Host AP "interact" with the 
drivers for that wireless card on linux. I could not able to picture it in 
my mind.

What functionality will the HostAP will provide, DO i have to UNTAR the 
HOSTAP file to get the roofnet up and wokring oor not.
