[Click] why click don't run in ethertap??

hi at all,

i'm Carlo and i tried to install click modular router to use DSR routing protocol
my configuration is:

redhat 9.0 with kernel 2.4.20 recompiled with Ethertap e Tun support 
i make the tap interface with mknod /dev/tap0 c 36 16

i installed click 1.3pre1 and all go on 
i tried click conf/test.click and it's ok
i tried all test and all go ok
but if i try test-tap.clik the program is blocked

i tried to install 1.2.4 release but
in make the process go in error in maptables.o

anyone known the solution??
