Hi Eddie,

With just a simple counter inserted between the FromDevice and ToHost
elements , here are the measurements for an unaltered e1000 driver on a
Gigabit Ethernet LAN with no other cross traffic.

for 64 byte packets 368989.648 packets per second
for 1500 byte packets 67994.727 packets per second
