2.4.9 bad performance with tulip polling

Hi,

I've tested a PC over here with a DLINK DFE570 (4 port card based on the
tulip driver) card with a 2.4.9 kernel and it seems to me that the
throughput is rather bad and resembles an interrupt driven configuration
(although the element PollDevice doesn't give any error).

The same setup and configuration but with a 2.2.19 kernel works
perfectly.

Is this a known issue ?

My click version is the one out of CVS of Jan. 22th 2002.

So, I will continue using the 2.2.19 version.

To be honest, I have to say there is an IRQ conflict (irq11) between
another network card and the 3rd port of the 4port card, however this
conflict remains in 2.2.19.
