insmod click.o: undefined symbol strlen

Where exactly do I add that line? exactly what has to have that line?

My gcc version:

gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.0 2.96-0.48mdk)

can I use 2.4.9 patch with 2.4.12? or how I use the make-linux24-patch script?
