It looks like the atomic primitives changed a bit in the 2.4 kernel..  
I'll try to fix it soon.  In the meantime if you're running on a single
processor machine you could use the "non-atomic" version of u_atomic32_t
by replacing the first #if in atomic.hh with "#if 0".

Yep, it should.  (The acenic polling driver hasn't been ported to to 2.4
but tulip and eepro100 have been.)
