changing shaper rate during runtime

Hi,

we wrote our own shaper and have some problems with changing the shaper
rate during runtime. We wrote a write-handler similar to the one in the
"RatedSplitter" element. The write-handler seems to change the rate variable
in the shaper-element but it doesn't change its shaping behaviour at all.
We attached our source files. Can anybody point out what we do wrong?????
