Hi Eddie,

What version of gcc, and kernel version, are you running on the RedHat 7
machine you tried my example on? I installed the latest click sources from
CVS and created a test file that just contained the line

FromDevice(eth2)->Discard;

I typed "cp test /proc/click/config" and everything was fine.
I then typed "cp test /proc/click/hotconfig" and everything was still OK.
But when I typed "cp test /proc/click/hotconfig" a second time everything
locked up...

So there must be something really screwed up with my setup (linux 2.2.18
with gcc 2.96). Is there any logging I can switch on in Click that might
give some clue as to what is going on?

Kevin
