[chord] The Chord Simulator

Hi,
  I would like to develop a simple application using the Chord Library.
  This will be possible using Chord's API?
  I was looking at source code of chord simulator that supplied with the 
Chord distribution.
  I observed that the library of chord had not reused for implementation the 
simulator.
  You seems to have again implemented the library of chord in the simulator.
  Exists some explanation for this?
