[chord] Chord Simulator

Hi Frank,

You mean the new simulator as in the new p2p simulator? I think I'll need /
want some more control over the network topology and configuration that ns2
or qualnet provides to give concrete results for a simulation.

Do you forsee any difficulty in doing a ns-2 / qualnet port? should I start
with the simulation code or the normal Chord code?

Thanks again :)

-Edward

Edward,

I suspect that the "new" simulator does, or will do, most of the
end-to-end packet-level simulation you need: delays, drops, etc. Unless
you want to study something inside the network (Chord's effect on queue
lengths at routers, perhaps) I think that a port to ns may be
unnecessary.
