[chord] more on vivaldi

actually, without specifying DHASHCLIENT_SUCCLIST_OPT, and therefore not
skipping lookups for successor and successor lists, vivaldi does not work
for me.

in a ring of 8 nodes, it consistently finds the far successors to do
retrieve from.

but if i do specify DHASHCLIENT_SUCCLIST_OPT, and therefore do skip lookups,
it consistently finds the nearby successors to use.
