Exopc Supported Hardware
There is currently only very limited driver support, usually what we manage
to steal from FreeBSD, OpenBSD, or NetBSD. The following lists cards that
are known to work. However, the drivers probably support other similar
cards too. Note: at least a pentium processor is required.
- NCR 810/815/875 SCSI disk controllers
- Diamond Fireport 20 and 40 disk controllers
- SMC EtherElite16/EtherEZ 10mbs ethernet
- SMC EtherPower 10/100 ethernet
- SMC EtherPower 32 -- SMC 8432T/8432BT/8432BTA
- D-Link DFE-500 TX ethernet (DEC 21140 version, not the 21143 version)
- Netgear Tulip cards
- 3c595 vortex/boomerang cards (with OSKit)
- Intel ether express pro 10/100 cards (with OSKit)
Additionally, other cards based on similar chipsets will probably work out
of the box or with a little driver hacking:
- whatever FreeBSD's if_ed driver supports (WD/SMC 8003 and 8013 series,
SMC Elite Ultra (8216), and similar clones)
- whatever FreeBSD's if_de driver supports (boards that use DEC's 21040, 21041,
or 21140 chips).
- it looks like NetBSD's ncr.c driver also supports the 825 and 860 chipsets
