  • Dec 17: Quiz 2 solutions are posted, as are quiz grades. Swing by 32-G980 and catch one of the course staff if you'd like to pick up your quiz.

  • Dec 8: Here is today's presentation schedule. During class, this page will automatically update to track our progress.

  • Dec 1: The sign up sheet for demonstrating your final project to Austin is open.

  • Dec 1: Please fill out the HKN course evaluation by 11:59 PM, Sunday, December 12th (corrected). Your comments are greatly appreciated and really do improve the class.

  • Oct 22: Quiz 1 is this coming Monday. It will be held during normal class time in the usual classroom. It is open book and open notes (please remember to bring your xv6 booklet!) Practice quizzes are here.

  • Oct 15: We've updated the lab late policy to clarify some vagueries.

  • Oct 13: Lab 4 is out. We added targets for run-name-gdb and run-name-nox-gdb to make it more convenient to run user programs while debugging.

  • Oct 7: Quiz 2 will be held during finals week on Thursday, December 16, from 1:30pm–4:30pm in du Pont.

  • Oct 7: You can check your grades here. Log in using the same username and password you use for the handin form. Please let us know if you see any discrepancies.

  • Sep 29: Lab 3 is out.

  • Sep 28: All of the lecture notes through today are now up-to-date. In particular, we've updated the lecture notes and handouts for lectures 2 and 6 and the lecture notes for lectures 4 and 5 are now simply the corresponding x86 chapters.

  • Sep 24: We added a few helpful pointers regarding JOS memory layout to the introduction of part 3 of lab 2, so you should reload the page if you have it open. Also, the issue with the 6.828 toolchain on Athena should be resolved now, so you no longer need the TOOLPREFIX= workaround to compile xv6.

  • Sep 15: Lab 2 is out.

  • Sep 8: Lab 1 is out.

  • Sep 4: The material for lecture 1 is up, if you'd like to get a jump start on things.

  • Aug 27: Lectures will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 1:00pm to 2:30pm in 32-144. The first lecture will be on Wednesday, September 8th.
