Normally you will find a homework assignment here to be handed in at the beginning lecture. Unfortunately, because the book is not available from the publisher (it is being reprinted), there is no assignment. We will produce copies of Lions as soon as we can, but the copies won't be ready for you to pick up before lecture, because we just received permission to make the copies.
The assigned reading for today is not essential to follow today's lecture. The assigned chapters contain an overview of the Lions book and an introduction to C, which we assume you know.
We encourage you to review these chapters, but you can read it on your own after lecture.
