With Melina Fan, I co-founded Addgene in 2004, a non-profit organization that archives and distributes plasmids. Addgene aims to build a central repository of useful plasmids from published experiments. For more information, see our letter in Science or visit our website.

In 2009 Addgene launched the LabLife platform to help labs and scientists become more efficient, organized, and connected.
