This lecture will provide an introduction to operating system organizations, monolythic, microkernel, etc. The assigned paper describes the exokernel organization. The JOS operating system you build in lab is organized like an exokernel.
Assignment: read the exokernel paper carefully. it will give you a good idea of what the end result of the labs will be.
